LJ McElravy and Nathan Conner won “Most Innovative” award from Study Abroad

Education Abroad staff announce the winners of the 2018-19 academic year faculty-led programs at their reception in August.

The Education Abroad Office hosted a reception honoring faculty and staff who supported faculty-led programs in the 2018-19 academic year. Dr.'s L.J. McElravy and Nathan Conner were presented the “Most Innovative” award.

Incoming UNL Freshman and FFA Officers

On Tuesday morning an ALEC Twitter post highlighting two outstanding ALEC students was featured on the KLKN News "You Post, We Report" segment. Incoming students, Faith Santana and Megan Fehr, committed a year of service to Nebraska FFA, its members and the agriculture industry as State Officers. Santana and Fehr, along with five other team members, were responsible for facilitating FFA conferences, meeting with business and industry representatives, traveling statewide to FFA chapters, serving as delegates at the National FFA Convention, and more.

On April 9, 2019 the winner of the University of Nebraska's most prestigious faculty award for Outstanding Teaching and Instructional Creativity was announced by President Hank Bounds. Dr. Lloyd Bell, professor in the Department of Agricultural Leadership, Education and Communication at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, was the recipient of that award. The award recognizes individual faculty members who have demonstrated meritorious and sustained records of excellence and creativity in teaching.
