Danie Brandl selected as ALEC Student Ambassador!

Lincoln, Neb. – Danie Brandl has been selected to represent the Department of Agricultural Leadership, Education and Communication as a student ambassador for the 2020 – 2021 academic year.

Danie Brandl is a sophomore agricultural education student from Humphrey, Nebraska. Danie has taken an active role in shaping her college experience. In addition to serving as a student ambassador, she also is a member of Sigma Alpha sorority and works in the ALEC Office as a student worker. This summer, she helped move the State FFA Nebraska Career Development Events to an online experience allowing hundreds high school students and FFA chapters to compete in the events.

Danie describes the ALEC department as a place that “provides students who are passionate about agriculture, with opportunities and the tools to affect and face the future of agriculture.” In the future, she hopes to have a career in agricultural industry that will make a positive impact for the field and the future of agriculture.

As an ALEC Student Ambassador, Danie will help promote the ALEC Department on campus and to prospective students and families while further developing leadership and communication skills. She will assist in recruitment and retention events, represent all aspects of the department, and help generate awareness about careers in agricultural leadership, education and communication.
