Q: What year in school do you need to be to serve as a NHRI Leadership Mentor?
A: NHRI primarily seeks Freshman and Sophomore students at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (with a few students from Nebraska Wesleyan). The purpose of selecting students early in their college career is to give them at least two years to develop a strong relationship with their Leadership Mentee.
Q: What qualifications do you look for in a NHRI Leadership Mentor?
A: NHRI seeks outstanding leaders who have high human relations capital (the capacity to positively influence and develop relationships with others), allowing them to maximize the strengths of their Leadership Mentee.
Q: How do I become a NHRI Leadership Mentor?
A: All interested students can attend an information session conducted by the NHRI Lead Interviewer, Peyton Mickells. Peyton will hold information sessions to inform prospective students about NHRI Leadership Mentoring and the process of becoming a Leadership Mentor, and will schedule interviews with interested students following each information session.
