ALEC 135: Introduction to Agricultural Education
This class really captured what agricultural education is. My professors made this class super exciting. This class went over all the aspects of agricultural education, so we knew what to expect in future classes and our future careers. We learned about different learning methods and how we can ensure students are learning while also having fun. I got the opportunity to observe different ag teachers, teach a lesson, and work with students. After taking this class, I knew that agricultural education is the right career for me.

ALEC 234: Planning SAE and FFA Programs
I like the projects we do. They are very applicable to what we will be doing as teachers. We are also able to retain many of these documents and information for our future classrooms. The class is also very fun, as we participate in activities like CDEs or create our FFA Banquet. I like that students are always able to give feedback on assignments.

ALEC 308: Laboratory Instruction and Management
This was probably the toughest ALEC course I took at first because I didn't feel confident in my lab management skills. During this course, I was able to practice my lab management skills with my peers. It was a great experience and a reminder that it is okay not to be a master at all things! I was able to end the semester feeling better about my lab management skills through much reflection and support from Professor Knoll and my Advisor, Matt Kreifels.

ALEC 405: Methods of Instruction
ALEC 405 has been my favorite class since coming to the University of Nebraska. It gets you into the classroom, gives you real-world experiences, and helps you really pick a school that is right for you. You can get a better understanding of the teacher and school before you student teach. Not only this, but it teaches the importance of having good lesson plans.
