Teaching

Dr. Nathan Conner is an agricultural education teacher educator that is passionate about teaching others how to teach and believes that content knowledge alone does not make an effective teacher.

He has over 10 years of experience training undergraduate students how to teach at the middle school and secondary level.

Dr. Conner has developed and facilitated workshops focused on how to develop and facilitate educational opportunities for adults. He has experience teaching a graduate level courses over the theories of Planned Behavior Change and Adult education. 

Research

Dr. Conner has 31 journal publications focused on teaching and learning and continually strives to enhance the scholarly literature. More specifically, Dr. Conner’s research focuses Adult education, science literacy, and the globalization of agricultural education programs. 

Extension

Dr. Conner works with Extension Educators across Nebraska to design programs for adult learners. He has developed and facilitated workshops focused on how to develop and facilitate educational opportunities for adults and also focuses on inquiry based learning methods.
